Stuart is a hard working dad, works away during the week and has struggled with his weight for a few years. Working away from home comes with its struggles, from eating out every evening, tempted by the pub and not being able to prepare food easily. These barriers didn’t stop Stuart as he made ridiculous progress and has genuinely changed his life for the better.

This transformation meant a little bit more to me than most, as Stuart is my brother. To see a family member go through this process and change their life is incredible. I can assure you that he got no special treatment throughout the challenge, if anything, I was stricter on him than most.

Find out what Stuart had to say about his transformation:

“I’ve lost 2 stone 2lb in 10 weeks. I’m fitter and healthier than I ever have been before. I’m more motivated to continue with my progress and continue to getting better shape.”

I think we can all agree, the amount of weight lost in that short space of time has taken a monumental effort. Stuart  has thrown himself into this process and has come out the other end fitter, faster and stronger. I’m glad that this is just a stepping stone into the world of fitness and I’m hoping it will continue for many more years to come.

“The best thing about this process was not having a beer belly and proving my brother wrong”

As Stuart is my brother, I knew I had my work cut out for me. He was a big drinker, a big eater and was not keen on exercise. For anyone else that knows Stuart, you will know he is a stubborn arsehole (in the nicest possible way). Instead of fighting against those habits we had to use that energy and mindset in his favour. He is now stubborn about hitting his workouts, his calorie targets and getting better each day.

“I’m in the best shape of my life! I can chase the kids around the park and not be out of breath. It has changed my daily routine from instead of going pub after work I go gym.”

To be able to set a positive example for his kids is priceless. Knowing that this fitness lifestyle he has embraced is likely to be passed on to the next generation is a brilliant feeling. From a few simple changes, he has not only impacted his own life but the lives of his children. Instead of seeing there dad head off down the pub, they see him exercising at home and setting a good example.

“.. the workouts are really good and can be done anywhere but also Chris keeps an eye on your food intake, it keeps you on track.”

As with all transformations it is rarely one thing that makes a difference. It is a combination of habits, workouts and nutrition. This is why I focus on tracking all of those things and show you the tools to track this on your own.

“.. I have booked a half marathon where before this I couldn’t run 5k without stopping now I’m running 40k a week at least”

This transformation could have gone two ways. Stuart could have told me where to go and just fallen back into his old lifestyle down the pub, or he could embrace it and continue putting the work in. I’m glad to say he has taken the latter option. The last 10 weeks has been a solid stepping stone to much greater things. Since this challenge he has run his first half marathon in 1 hour 45 minutes!
